Introducing the Coffee plant!

It takes a thousand seeds per round to create a coffee tree. From the day that the coffee seeds are planted  almost two and half years are needed so that the plant begins flowering and producing the famous small fruits called berries.Each berry contains usually two green coffee beans. 
The flower that blooms from the coffee plant has a  white color and the best season of blooming is Spring. 

Heavy rainfall and rich volcanic soil are two of the prerequisites for the coffee plant to blossom.The berries, which are hand picked, are harvested from September to January. November is the peak month of the year for the coffee harvest.





The morphology of the coffee plant is something to be noticed.How the plant looks, the height,the shape,it's leaves,appearance and color can differ depending on where the coffee is planted. Τhose characteristics allow experts to notice the variety of coffee. 

Although, Ethiopia is the country where coffee originates from,the main leading countries in the world  producing coffee are Brazil and Colombia ,while USA is the number one in consuming.
